Dominican Republic - The Eyeglass Project

May 26 - May 30, 2012

Partnering with TIME ministries and Hunter Vision, this team is taking 1,500 pairs of glasses collected through The Eyeglass Project to the DR and fitting "patients" with correct prescriptions.  Clinics will be set up at local churches to serve those needing vision correction in communities surrounding the churches.  The team will also be educating folks about eye health.  The main mission is to love on people with the love of Christ. In this case, that will be through giving them better vision to read their Bibles and do simple tasks that they may not have been able to do as well in the past. Any extra glasses that aren't distributed will be left with TIME ministries to be distributed by the Dominican Republic High School team this July.
