Participants will continue God’s work by building a chapel, conducting VBS and hosting other children’s programs. A great first-time journey, this trip also will include cultural exposure and worship in a local church, and participants will have opportunities to share personal testimonies. Participants will be challenged as they witness the vast material poverty while at the same time experiencing the sweetness of the nationals and the host ministry.
Age: 9 - 12th grades (with or without parent)
- If you’re young and poor in the Dominican Republic, chances are slim you’ll finish secondary school and get a steady job.
- One person in four lives on less than $2 a day.
- Thirty percent of the population lives in abject poverty.
